3-Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour
Cross the High Atlas, sleep in a luxury Sahara camp and ride camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset.
How much does a Morocco desert tour cost? Real price ranges from €230 to €1,499 per person, what drives the price, what is included, and how to keep the cost down.
A Morocco desert tour with Les Roches Desert Tours costs from €230 to €1,499 per person, depending on the tour’s length, format and camp level. A 3-day shared Sahara tour sits at the lower end; a week-long private luxury journey sits at the top. Every price is confirmed in writing before you commit — the quote you get is the price you pay. This guide explains the Morocco desert tour cost honestly, using only our real prices.
Four things, in order: how many days you travel, whether the tour is shared, small-group or private, the level of your hotels and camp, and how far the route runs. A shared minibus splits the vehicle cost between many travellers; a private vehicle for two costs more per person than the same vehicle for six. A luxury camp with a private bathroom costs more than a standard camp. And a 10-day grand tour simply covers more road, hotels and meals than a 3-day desert run.
Shared tours are the lowest price: a larger group, fixed stops, the same dunes and camp night at the end. Small-group tours cap numbers at 12 for a more personal feel at a middle price. Private tours give you your own vehicle and driver-guide and your choice of hotels and camp — priced per tour, so the per-person cost falls as your group grows.

Every desert tour price includes pickup from your accommodation, air-conditioned transport, an English-speaking local driver-guide, hotel and desert camp nights as listed, dinners and breakfasts as listed, and the sunset camel trek. Lunches, drinks, entrance fees and tips are not included. If a quote seems surprisingly cheap, check what it leaves out — camp standard and group size are where corners usually get cut.
Choose a shared departure, travel with a group, or pick a student tour — our budget student departures are the lowest-priced desert tours we run. Shorter tours cost less than longer ones, and a 3-day desert tour delivers the essential Sahara experience: Atlas, kasbahs, gorges, camel trek and camp night. Avoid paying for days you do not need — a focused desert tour beats a padded itinerary.

Message us on WhatsApp with your dates, group size and the tour you have in mind. We reply with availability and a clear, no-obligation quote, usually within a few hours. Prices are per person as listed on each tour page, and private tours are quoted per tour — never a vague range that moves after you book.
Do I pay per person or per tour? Scheduled, shared and small-group tours are priced per person as listed. Private tours are priced per tour, so the per-person cost falls as your group grows.
Why do prices vary so much between operators? Days, group size, camp standard and what is included. Compare like with like: a 3-day shared tour with a standard camp and a 3-day private tour with a luxury camp are different products at different prices.
Are there hidden costs on top of the tour price? No. Lunches, drinks, entrance fees and tips are not included and are stated before you book; the price we quote is the price you pay.
