Buggy, KTM or 4x4 — which one?
A Merzouga buggy tour runs with an instructor leading the line, helmets and goggles provided, and a pace set by the least experienced driver; passengers can ride along and swap at photo stops.
KTM Enduro days suit riders with real off-road experience — the fesh-fesh (powder sand) and rocky pistes punish overconfidence, so be honest about your level when booking and the guide will grade the route to match.
The 4x4 piste tours suit everyone: your guide drives the old rally pistes between oases, fossil beds and palm groves while you enjoy the ride — and the 2-day expedition sleeps out in the dunes for a full off-road immersion.
Combine it with a desert tour
Off-road days pair naturally with a Merzouga stay: do the camel trek and camp night as usual, then spend the next morning on the pistes around Erg Chebbi before the road journey onward. It is the most popular add-on we offer — just ask when you book.

Buggy driving requires a regular driving licence. For the KTM Enduro you should be an experienced off-road rider; tell us your level honestly and the guide will grade the route to match.
The vehicle or bike, fuel, helmet and goggles, an experienced local guide, water and a support plan. Sessions run from half a day to full expedition days.
Early morning for firmer sand and cool air, or late afternoon for the best light. Midday summer sessions are possible but demanding — we will advise honestly for your dates.
